The awards keep rolling in – Melissa Wells Award

Following the recent honour of the Let’s Do It! movement’s World Cleanup Day being awarded the UNESCO-Japan Prize on Education for Sustainable Development, yet another award has recognised the international importance of our movement.

This week, on 7 November, the Let’s Do It Foundation was awarded the Melissa Wells Corporate Responsibility award, as part of the Transatlantic Business Awards.  Like the UNESCO prize, this award recognised the movement’s great achievements in organizing the World Cleanup Day on 15 September.

The Transatlantic Business Awards is a cooperative venture between the U.S. Embassy in Estonia, the Baltic-American Freedom Foundation, and the American Chamber of Commerce in Estonia that seeks to foster greater innovation and strengthen transatlantic economic ties.

Eva Truuverk, leader of the Let’s Do It! movement said, “We are delighted to receive yet another award recognising the impact our movement is having on ensuring a cleaner future for all, and the success of our momentous event in September, World Cleanup Day. We hope that we only continue to build momentum from here on in, and go from strength to strength in our efforts to make our planet clean again.”
