24.02.2011 Balkan conference on 16th of April

One year after the huge success of the one-day clean-up action on April 17th 2010 in Slovenia, Ecologists without borders are now amidst intense preparations for their first international event – Let’s Clean the Balkans in One Day! is the title of the conference, taking place in Rimske toplice from 15th to 17th April this year.

In Slovenia, the big volunteer cleanup is scheduled for March 24, 2012. The project team is determined to make this day a lasting experience with long-term positive impacts on the general public awareness about responsible waste management. Regional conference Let’s Clean the Balkans in One Day!, taking place from 15 to 17 April in Rimske toplice, Slovenia, ended yesterday. It was attended by 61 volunteers from 11 countries, who, in their country, will be in charge of organizing the largest voluntary environmental action in world history - World Cleanup 2012.
